TTA Initiative Awarded National Funding

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) awarded a 2-year, $250,000 Capacity-Building grant for a team project involving Children’s Mercy Hospital, University of Missouri-Kansas City Institute of Human Development, and The Transition Academy.” The PCORI grant focuses on addressing health disparities among Black youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Creating an Inclusive Workplace: Empowering Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Employers’ conversations about inclusive workplaces often overlook the need to offer opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). People with “unseen” disabilities such as ADHD, Autism, Down syndrome, learning disorders, or other cognitive delays still struggle to be fully welcomed into many workplaces.
